RL Sutton Wastewater Facility (Cobb County, GA)

Survey Manager responsible for the oversight of the surveying information, data collection, safety protocol and liaison between plant personnel and environmental design engineers. This project consisted of Subsurface Utility Engineering Level B (provided by separate company) as well as laser scanning, Drone UAV Flight modeling as well as traditional surveying methods locating all structures, features, and utilities in the affected area for design purposes. This surveying and geospatial effort was part of a Lime Distribution tank replacement with Cobb County.

Verescence Glass Factory Realignment Project, City of Covington (Newton County, GA)

Tompkins served as Survey Manager for this project as well as liaison between the company engineers and the survey field crews. The scope of this project included measuring, modeling, and performing key surveying functions on an existing operating glass furnace line and then performing layout work of the furnace plunge lines for the reconstruction of the insulation and mechanical components.

Rockmart Mill Construction Project (Polk County, GA)

Survey Manager for the reconstruction effort of the grain bins along a CSX rail line. This scope involved providing the civil engineering firm a survey database, providing the construction company with layout of the auxiliary buildings to the storage bins as well as dirt volumes, transition information to a state highway and as-built information post construction.

Turkey Point Nuclear Facility (Homestead, FL)

Tompkins was responsible for collecting laser scanning data for the all of unit 3 and 4 turbine buildings as part of an effort to accurately map and model all structures, facilities, systems, and mechanical components for the turbine buildings. Tompkins was responsible for setting laser scanning targets, verifying accuracy of control points, and utilizing plant control coordinates for all laser scanning data. This laser scan data was then modeled, classified, and put into a database for plant personnel to access for dose reduction efforts, pre-project kick-off meetings, engineering, and well as facility management.
